Provides elaboration of general plan relating to the Ministry’s legislative activities and coordination for further discussion of relevant issues within the terms under Georgian Legislation.

Within its competence prepares drafts of normative acts.

Prepares legal conclusions on the drafts of normative acts prepared by the Ministry’s structural divisions, sub-divisions and other institutions.

In compliance with the determined rules ensures introduction of drafts of legislative normative acts in the Georgian parliament prepared by the Ministry’s relevant divisions and institutions.

Independently or in coordination with structural sub-divisions and institutions of the Ministry elaborates drafts of normative acts and prepares proposals about amendments to the current normative acts or cancellation thereof.

Provides legal services to the Ministry’s structural sub-divisions and institutions.

Ensures Ministry’s representation in the courts of all instances.

Counseling grievances/complaints and legal disputes related to the Ministry’s activities and thereby elaborates and prepares proposals relating to addendums and amendments to the current legislation.

In order to function efficiently requires information from the Ministry’s structural sub-divisions and institutions.

Counseling grievances/complaints of individuals and legal entities related to the issues of the Ministry’s competence.

Discusses and determines appropriateness of international treaties to be signed on behalf of the Ministry.

Prepares legal conclusions in order to transfer certificate of ownership.

Prepares legal conclusions on draft treaties prepared by the Ministry’s divisions and structural sub-divisions, as well as international institutions.
